As the Communications Specialist at BC Conservation Foundation, my role involved managing a vast network of 36 WildSafeBC social media accounts. Within this responsibility, I meticulously crafted and curated a total of 135 unique pieces of original content to engage our audience and promote wildlife conservation efforts across various platforms.
One of the significant achievements during my tenure was the remarkable growth in our social media reach. Specifically, I successfully boosted the Instagram reach by an impressive 212.2% and expanded the Facebook reach by 18.7%. This surge in reach directly translated into tangible results, with our content garnering over 15,100 interactions from the audience. Furthermore, the strategic initiatives implemented under my guidance led to a substantial increase of 34.7% in our social media followers, showcasing a growing interest and engagement with the Foundation's mission.
Through data-driven strategies, creative content development, and consistent engagement with the online community, I was able to elevate WildSafeBC's online presence and drive meaningful connections with supporters, stakeholders, and wildlife enthusiasts. This experience not only honed my communication skills but also deepened my passion for environmental conservation, outdoor recreation safety, and advocacy.
