Completing the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans (TCPS 2: CORE 2022) certificate for KIN 301: Research Methods in Kinesiology was a crucial component of my training as a future researcher. The course covered ethical principles and guidelines for conducting research involving human participants, including informed consent, confidentiality, risk and benefit assessment, and research with vulnerable populations.
The course provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the ethical considerations that researchers must take into account when designing and conducting research studies. As a result, I gained an appreciation for the importance of ethical research conduct and the impact it has on the participants, the scientific community, and society as a whole. The course also allowed me to apply these principles in practical scenarios and to think critically about the ethical implications of different research designs.
